Privacy Policy
Updated:
PetTrackerIA, displayed as PetTrack on your device, helps you organize your pet’s records. The app stores your records on your device and does not require an account. This policy describes the current iOS app and how to contact its developer about privacy.
Information you choose to save
PetTrack stores the information you enter or select in its local app storage.
- Pet profiles: name, species, breed, sex, weight, date of birth, an optional photo and notes.
- Health events: treatment or event name and type, dates, follow-up dates, lot numbers, veterinarian, clinic and notes.
- Reminders: title, message, date, repetition, priority and completion status.
- App preferences, such as whether you have completed the introduction.
Scanning and on-device assistance
When you choose to scan a veterinary record, the app uses the camera and Apple’s Vision text recognition on your device. On supported devices with Apple Intelligence available, Apple’s on-device system language model can help extract fields from the recognized text. Otherwise, local text rules and manual entry remain available.
The app does not send scan images, recognized text or pet records to a developer server or an external AI service. Scan images and recognized text are used for the scan session; only the details you review and save become a health event. Review the original record before saving a draft.
Permissions you control
You can change camera and notification permissions in iOS Settings. Declining notifications does not remove saved reminders.
- Camera: used when you open the document scanner. You can enter records manually if camera access is unavailable or denied.
- Photos: the system photo picker lets you choose a picture for a pet’s profile. The app receives the image you select.
- Notifications: with your permission, iOS schedules local reminders. Their title, message or pet name may appear on your lock screen according to your notification settings.
Health cards and sharing
When you create a health card, the app creates a PDF on your device containing your pet’s profile and health history, including saved notes and veterinarian or clinic details. Its QR code contains the pet’s name, species and date of birth.
A temporary PDF is stored in the app’s temporary storage for preview and sharing. You decide whether to share or save it through the iOS share sheet. The destination app or recipient then handles that copy under its own practices. Anyone who receives the card can read its contents and QR code. Deleting a record in PetTrack does not delete copies you have already shared or saved elsewhere.
Storage, retention and deletion
Saved profiles, health events and reminders remain in the app’s local storage until you edit or delete them or remove the app’s data. You can delete health events and reminders in their lists. Deleting a pet also deletes its related records and reminders from the app.
The app does not provide an account, developer-hosted record storage or its own synchronization service. Device backups and copies you save to other apps may be handled by Apple or the destination service according to your settings. Manage those copies separately. The developer cannot recover local records that you have deleted.
Tracking, advertising and purchases
The app does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, third-party analytics or developer-operated telemetry. It does not transmit your pet records to the developer. The current version has no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Apple handles any App Store transaction separately under Apple’s policies.
Support messages and this website
If you email support, the developer receives your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. Send only what is needed to explain the issue; you do not need to send a complete veterinary record. Email messages are handled outside the app by the email services involved. Contact the same address with questions about your support correspondence or a request to delete it.
Opening a support or privacy webpage creates a network request to the website host. Website access and email correspondence are separate from the app’s local record storage.
Policy updates and contact
This page will be updated when the app’s data practices change. The date above identifies this policy version. For privacy questions, contact the PetTrackerIA developer at the address below.
